One of Malaysia's most talented filmmakers talk about the lack of support given by what is supposed to be the main organisation that spurs the local film industry.
A lot of what he said is similar to my experiences when I was working as the head festival coordinator for a particular film festival before. We received so little support and funding, and when the festival had caught the eyes of international press, a string of local film organisations wanted to jump in on the bandwagon and show their 'support'.
